real FY here. once in a blue moon n e sun rises frm e west n singapore snows, FY blogs.

therefore:

but again, probability is nv accurate :p which lead us to tink whether they ar worth studying haha, along wif PnC

yawns, lots of things happened since i last blogged (which is duh... so many months)

went for medical check up for NS, chose friday, last day of previous term so can pon sch (esp i hav GP on tt day). went there to queue up n get checked lol. got called back to e blood checking thing cos they say my blood got prob (low RBC n high WBC). lol, i was sick tt day, got infection in e throat lol. then measured blood pressure- tink is 88mmHg and 108mmHg, which is too low haha. got a letter aft a wk to ask me go back test blood again. wake up early to go CMPB (or else long queue) then e doc sucked 2 tubes of blood from me x_x usually is 1 tube. got a letter tt say i in PES A wtf... ok lo, go army muz either try for e best or for e worse. since i cannot PES C then i try chiong OCS haha but i tink i v diff zzz.... worse case scenario is be in e middle, wan to die cannot die, wan to live cannot live lol.

suddenly holidays over liao, common test come n go n nw i getting back test papers. zzz... yup, contented wif my phy n math marks wif A but a bit disappointed for my chem haha. Suppose to be my best subject then got B. k la, i hate food chem n its memory work :( GP is died alrdy then bio tink cmi also haha. according to ms chee no 1 got A (history of CT1 repeats...)

oh ya, phy s i got pwned. :p hope chem s not lidat also although not tested this CT

CNY celebration is so so la haha. quite sian at some parts. superstar not bad, tink e 2nd contestant v gd but turned out to get 1st runner-up. nvm, still an accomplishment. zzz. Ms Chee gave each of us an ang bao haha. whoo, thks man. 1st time get ang bao frm tcher haha. went to maldives briefing aft tt.didnt expect kevin to let me go aft i tell him i dono how to swim haha. then ask me to go learn be4 e trip. he sounds confident tt i can learn it within few weeks :p zzz. but i v lazy n don lyk swimming. haha, shall c my mood. :)

went for air pistol aft tt. Quite sian got internal competition aft CNY celebrations, cant go back to sec sch or pri sch. zzz... nvm, shooting is fun haha, 1st time competition (with e other air pistol ppl). well, i quite satisfied wif my result :):) shot 449/600 for a person who is only in e club for 10days, though i know i can do better due to e few flops here n there. zzz. haha. got room for improvement.

go curry wok wif e pistol ppl n 2 girls frm shooting club (dono y they there). ordered student meal n they took bloody long to serve, zzz. so meanwhile we made a lot of noise in e shop haha. i look lyk a trash bin sia, eat so much :p free flow of rice u c... got curry sauce + rice i can eat liao haha. went orchard wif e guys while jp n e girls go SAFRA shoot. jock kee went home zzz.
e ride there v long. squeeze until we stand at e entrance. then bus driver say he cant c e door, dare not close ltr kiap this CHS guy there haha. ltr e bus no space liao, leaving e bus stop.
guy: "uncle, got ppl running to e bus"

driver: "cannot la, no space la! he no eyes to c meh? ltr i stop liao he come n c no space also e same so i might as well don brake. he write letter complaint i don let him up but not my fault wat. singapore a lot of complaint king one. (repeat a few times lyk chorus) blah blah blah..."
driver sounded lyk he prepared an english script to say haha. damn funny. ltr got this car drive up to e side n almost hit e bus. then driver start to say out his dialect speech haha. scold until damn funny. open window n shout vulgarities or stuff lidat. then e driver stop at traffic light n open window to apologise but driver still cont to shout. lol.

reach orchard liao, everybody's frend somewhere here. walked to cineleisure n c dono how many friends on e way haha. everyone met their friends cept for me :( juz realised e class went marche at suntec n xl they all playing pool somewhere else zzz. haha, at least got c may elanor n veron. zzz... reach cineleisure n took escalator up. e journey up takes abt 15min lo. weiren n zhirong finally decided to watch fearless so i watch wif them. e rest wat go home go church zzz! haha, sian. forgot to bring enuf money so ah bell lend me 10bucks. shit, i am gg to owe ppl money over e new year zzz. lyk i did last yr when go pizza hut wif 4/1 ppl n i owe cy few dollars.
bought tix at 9.50 each (ouch!). went down (15min) to cheers to buy stuff to watch during movie. bought 1.5l sprite ice n smuggle in wif my bag. haha, pro ppl lyk us so smart. e movie rocks! e fighting part v nice n story line also gd. quite sad though, hero died of poisoning. e ending song v nice haha. is jay chou;s huo yuan jia. then i only noe e huo huo part zzz. went home aft tt n saw jennifer. decided tt we will shoo ppl home on e way cos 7pm liao. tell them go home mug zzz

anw, today is fun :) air pistol rocks haha. better than guitar club. zzz. at least i noe alost everyone here, unlike guitar go there dono most ppl. partly is cos i pon a lot la :P

sian lo. juz checked email n say tt my project cant enter ssef. expected though, cant imagine a project tt hav no experiment can go ssef. zzz... whose fault? i shall not say, quite obvious. Wanted IBN in e beginning when i applied for research attachment then they kicked me out of e interview cos my interview sucks, i dono how to tok. then i appealed in n v happy to be accepted but only can go to the university at the very west side of e island so i tried lo. (his work i mean) "u can check it out in e clean room" tts wat he alwaz say, go in, can only follow him around. use SEM take photographs for HIM! tok abt exploitation. Then keep explaining things to us tt i alrdy noe, keep repeating... "u ar fabricating high aspect ratio copper interconnect here..." blah blah blah. tell him we wan do experiment cos is one of e criteria for star n ssef. "but u cannot do, not qualified." want to sound lyk rockson but shall ctrl myself. aft some pestering he finally say, "ok, i get one wafer for each of u to do one set" which makes up two sets of data. Got our wafer, v happy, tot got hope for project le. processed them lyk how we were tot to. "u noe how to do it alrdy rite? ok, go n do." then he use him wafer holder n kope our wafers n process our wafers himself. process liao, some machine cannot use so cannot do anthing for e time being. slack? no choice. do bloody lot of lit reveiw liao. last time doing lit review till sian le ask him "can we do our experiment? we wan do this this this...". he say "read more, read more." practically read every relevant paper on e interent liao. "can save those articles in my folder", tok abt hlping him get papers. finally, one wafer rdy for electroplating. "sir, we wan use this this this this..." then replied "ok". load into e machine n keyed in e values. eveything else leave it to e machine liao. since it takes v long n is v late le, mentor volunteered to monitor for us n we go home. ok, 2nd day come back, process again guess wat? "fabulous! wonderful! miracle! Very good results!" took photos wif SEM (not forgetting e "u can check it out" sentence in many occasions). then came e very obvious hidden meaning in e sentence "so u got ur results (one set of data), project completed right?" !@#$%^&*() then came another even more !@#$%^&*() thing. our wonderful, very good blah blah results are made cos our mentor used his secret patent-pending tehnique when we went home. even rubbed in "i didnt expect to get such good results wif e lousy quality electrolyte" good job FY, u juz got cheated into wasting ur time n effort in this !@#$%^&*() research attachment. Now no results. Still tried for ssef, but then cannot. tcher say muz write report so no choice, got to make up story for e pieces of paper. nw still muz do presentation. fine lo, anyhow wack liao. Juz realised a lot ppl who failed interview n appealed or rejected somewhere else all go same institute as me. wat a nice "dumping ground". good job. btw, i tink our one more wafer he kope liao. some more each wafer v expensive wor. c wat i mean by EXPLOITATION!

only good part is when e student feedback form come. got a chance to release my anger n frustration. To all those who wan research attachment, watch carefully. only go if is good n high class institute such as imcb :) they got this kind of problem evey year i think, c if u lucky or suay.

Argh, v stressed these days. y? cos of pw, tink mine is really screwed (don ask). i am lyk being haunted by it nw... anyone's pw also screwed can tag my board, make me feel better. kk, hope no one same as me. hmm, pw is 5% of e result for entry into local U? haiz, hope can get a respectable grade.

Well, ppl keep telling me not to be so stressed abt pw. i am trying to, believe me! juz hope to be done wif this at e end of e yr. Haiz, but 50yrs ltr, looking back, i would have probably forgotten wat is pw n wat i did. but i tink small or big, everything will leave sth behind for me.

Maybe it is time for me to take a blow (on results). ever since pri sch, i hav been getting gd results (except for maybe e languages and humanities). not bragging but nw as i do some reflection, i dono wat to say actually. After e cannot-make-it results in lower pri, n gg to EM2 class, i juz suddenlyimproved in pri5. begin topping e class for exams, dono y lidat also, mayb this is e so-called "kai qiao". n yes, i do somewhat enjoy tt feeling, a sense of achievement n self satisfaction mayb. n parents keep nagging at their children for better results, at least i can make my mum happy wif this. getting edusave scholarships so tt i can save up for Uni fees, results do hav their importance. n so, i scored a miracle in PSLE n entered NHSS, lyk a small fish who just got into a large pond from a fish tank. Got owned in at first (esp kegan who scored so high for PSLE n i was wondering y he come NHSS) but slowly caught up to e top few in science n math. Well, i don study a lot n i play a lot. juz mayb i listen in class n revise when necessary (before exam) ba, not bragging again but i noe i am more inclined in science n math. finished my lower sec days (dreading art, literature, history, geography and of cos English.... chinese still not tt bad although i am not gd at it at all). proceeded to sec 3 n enjoying e subject combi! triple science n double math, nice man. found a lot of self satisfaction for these subjects n eventually my humans n language also improved... graduated with nice results, v happy (not abt e leaving my frends part) come NJC, lyk a fish who entered e lake from e pond. i searched for my self satisfaction again, n i found it in common test. quite satisfied with it although definitely got ppl better. n nw, wif this dark cloud of pw looming, perhaps it is time for me to take a blow for results before i become too fragile to take such blow but i will also do my best to try so i wont have any regrets (but i don tink is possible not to hav). i still hav a long way ahead.

another thing i find rewarding abt my results is to teach. i enjoy teaching my frends who asked me qns, esp during peak seasons such as preparation for common test. got a chance to noe them better n let them noe me better. i am some1 who don really open easily. as i teach, i learn a lot too :) also, i find myself useful for this haha.

last nite be4 i slp, i was tinking of pw (haunted by it u c) n wat will i do if i flunk it (a bit exaggerated but nvm). e first tot tt came to me is being a teacher! educating e young is a wonderful thing don u tink so? haha... met some v inspiring teacher in my life be4 n they really made an impact in my life. it will be v nice if i can be one to a student. hmmm, seriously considering haha.... mayb nxt time u c me teaching :p we nv noe...

aft e sentosa outing on monday, my skin start to peel le (actually started few days ago...). first, my left side of e face peels. two days ltr, e right side started. haha, quite strange. still got 1 more day... omg, time flies n my holiday is over. back to sch again but this time, i don feel e enthusiasim to go to sch. in e past, i will hope for sch to begin quickly towards e end of a long holiday but nw, it seems tt there is no motivation for me to go to sch anymore. same as early in e morning. last time, i will get out of my bed no matter how tired, telling myself tt i can go to sch to c all my frends again. but nw, there is no such feeling, juz e unwillingness to wake up n get ready for sch. perhaps sch has become so boring to me nw.

speaking of time flying v quickly, i received my NS enlistment brochure today. juz a moment ago, NS seems so far frm me, wif common test, promos n A levels to worry abt. when i saw my name on e brochure (means it is sent to me), i was quite shocked tt e tot of NS has come so soon. yea, n v soon, i will hav finished my NS n move on to study in university n then move into e society to work. dono wat will everyone be when tt time comes, hope old frends will rmb each other despite their hectic life.

holiday lyk only 2 more days n i am still here blogging. pro rite? tink my common test really gone case liao, esp GP. juz pray tt i can pass wif considerable marks n promoted to yr2 wif e promos. omg, damn scared n i am doing so little. only did a few math qns today n went to slp n play liao. sometimes really hate myself for not working hard enuf. dono if i am lidat in sec sch last time, play during mid-yrs but this is A lvl; big diff frm Os... sigh, hope i can motivate myself to study instead of playing dota or gg online or slping...

went for MECH camp from friday to sunday. a rewarding trip i would say.

when i first reported at boon lay station, i was dreading n complaining tt i hav 2 waste time to come for this camp. some more song hao is sick and could only join in tmr. meanwhile i only know yu tian while e other 3 ppl ar strangers. was v worried for common test because i noe i am not well prepared at all :( still got many things to study n i still nd 2 come for this camp? wth... e first day of camp is alwaz e most sian i guess. grouped wif ppl frm ohter schs n play games. some of them were quite fun i would say. tried to be enthu because some of e ppl ar really v on, so i tot i should play along also. as e day go by, i am begining to think tt e camp will be fun. indeed, we played until 2+am. went to slp for a few hrs be4 e nxt day starts.

had field games on e second day when ppl will get dirty wif mud n water n watever u can tink of. heng heng for me i don nd 2 play haha, cos of injuries :) yea, one less dirty set of clothes. participated in some of e cleaner games n was dry n clean until some ppl splashed water at me at e end of everything. lucky is clean water. had creative games in e aftnoon which we (as a sch) earn pts to buy materials for our model making competition ltr. aft everything, NJC got e most pts haha, we ar e pros!

competition starts at 8pm n we sit tgt as a sch to discuss our model glider. suppose to be creative n can glide e furthest distance. almost all e grps worked into e night, facing failure time n time again. some got their model to work early n slacked for some time be4 e nxt day starts... all e schs did not slp n worked till daybreak (we worked for 11hrs be4 we get to rest which is 1 hr be4 we nd 2 get ready for e competition). we wanted to give up many times because our model does not seem to cooperate, crashing into e ground many times. thks to yu tian, who insisted on carrying on wif e modifications, we finally get it to fly n it performed well compared to our previous tries ( at least we noe tt we wont be last).

aft changing into our uniforms n had breakfast, we proceeded wif e presentation of our model. we were v unprepared wif this part because we spend e whole night making e model tt we did not plan e presentation. aft some impromp2 n on-e-spot thinking, we managed to do a "presentable presentation". a v normal n prefessional one in which we juz go up n tok. some grps did a skit, some had power pts, some had diagrams n we seem so lousy in this part of e competition. nxt up is to test how far e models glides. we were up first n we prayed so hard for it to fly well; our model was v unstable n it really depends on luck.each sch has 2 release e model 2 times n e average score is taken. to our lucky star, our model did well for both tries n was evene model tt flew e furthest among e other schs (to our surprise). there were many models tt did v well in last nite's test flights but almost all of them fumbled at e actual competition (perhaps it is e weather, according to one of e uni student) e models were then sent to judge on its creativity while we waited in e hall, all v tense up. so far we had done well for e major component of e score, e distance. n yes, NJC brought home e champion title for e 2nd yr (we also won last yr according to e ntu students), wif JJC as runner-up n acjc as 2nd runner-up. along wif e title came a gold medal (my first medal in my life cos i only got trophy n plauges) n a $300 cash prize for e team which is $50 each (enuf to cover up for e camp cost n some extra). 11hrs of working wif no slp had finally paid off :)

came back frm guitar camp, which is quite sian for me. spend most ofe time slacking n wasting time cos their break time is so damn long n all over e place (which means got a lot of breaks). then practice session is also partly break, wat e hell... my room only got 3 guys n somebody joined in ltr. but, still as sian as ever. it was more fun at night when we had e "mr koh show" by mr kenneth koh n it was v amusing...

anw, he really noe how 2 capture e audience's attention. nxt up is a v sadistic game of running arnd 2 find ppl wif message n copy down e long text. e game is called underground church n normal ppl hav2find "message dispensers" 2 copy down messages which is a sadistically long philosphical text (tts y it is sadistic). we had 2 kneel on e floor n copy under dim light. in addition, we hav ecret police n spies who will go round catching ppl copying notes. those who were caught will hav 2 go detention classroom which none of us went because we ran away whenever e police come. They nv caught us hahaha! wif all e running n water treatment frm super soakers frm e police, my paper is so damn wet tt it can tear any moment n my handwriting smudge lyk hell. but anw, it was fun n i came in 2nd wif another guy. aft tt there is a movie screened in e clasroom but i didnt watch, went 2 eat leftover nasilemark for supper, bathed n it is mahjong until 4.30am. we nd 2 be up by 9pm which is lyk so late... then had bread for breakfast. nxt is practice (slack) then shi zi lu kou... some food game which lets e ppl save money to buy our lunch since we hav 2 buy our own food as part of e game. went back for practie somemore n finale n finally over, 2 days of almost complete waste of time.

quite long nv update le, time to write an entry haha...

went for snt camp on 28-29 may (sat n sun). my first camp in njc... hope it is fun. reach there around 10.30 cos tt yu tian say student volunteers for ICs nd 2 go there early. but? go there nth to do cos tt yu tian miscalculated things n shit! nth to do thee until 1pm. nvm, xl n kat in e same boat too... looked for something to do n went to try a bit of squash n rugby. then go coro eat lunch n rushed back cos we were almost late. i got posted to group6 2nd IC n dono anybody there except for e IC ying ying. wth... was afraid tt i cant get along wif e new ppl cos they seem to noe each other already. anw, things didnt turn out tt bad cos i still got to noe them n got along quite well... a lot IP ppl though.

started e camp off wif some games. ice breakers as usual. nd 2 throw a ball to a person n call his/her name so we got to noe each other's name. those who called e wrong name or if e catcher didnt caught e ball will nd 2 do forfeit such as spelling out his/her name wif e butt. since i quite pro i didnt gana forfeit haha. went on to some maze game where we ar blindfolded n ar suppose to go thru a maze lead by someone not blindfolded. those IP KIDS ar, cant grow up one, so playful. anyhow whack ppl who happens to come nearby. then nd 2 get puzzle pieces out of a bucket of flour, transport water using spoon, cut a piece of A4 paper in to a loop to cover e whole grp of ppl etc... overall not bad. then abt time for dinner le, v fast. had movie marathon cum night hike together at sigma lab. was watching "day aft tmr" halfway then nd 2 go off cos i become station mater haha. shit, i liked tt movie, cant even let me finish watching. nvm, i was stationed at e stairs beside e hall leading to e canteen wif sophyian (dono spell corretly not). njc isnt as dark as i expected... e lights ar 24hrs on de, not scary anymore. we were suppose to wait for ppl to come then tell them where to go nxt (boring eh?). yeah, super boring esp they come so slow! wat do we do? decided to scare ppl haha, although i didnt wan 2 cos i might get scared myself. but v bored n anw, we tried not t scare too much haah. in e end only two grps got scared (wat a failure). one guy n 2 girls (trisha tt pair). damn funny la haha! (trisha) they were walking down e corridor n was saying :see? not scary wat?" then sophyian poped out frm his "strategic location" n say "hi". then they screamed until lyk dono wat hahahahahha!!!!!!! is damn funny. aft they reached e canteen they tried to scare us back but heard them toking at e stairs le so prepared liao. only tt they overdid it as in they screamed until so damn loud tt we were shocked by theor loudness. anw, donald n song hao were e last pair but didnt manage to scare them. went back to sigma lab n had a brief debrief be4 gg bathe n slp le.

ok, did i mention slp? haha... my grp moved to e same room as XL's n we rock e hse! played bridge n dai di until teacher came. pretend to slp but in e end didnt so we asked if we can play 0_o n he say "i didnt noe anything" n so, e fun begins.... screened kung fu hustle in e classroom (courtesy od donald's vcd player n song hao's disc) at 1.30am. watched till 3.30 n in e meantime, more n more ppl came to to watch wif us haha. tink all e guys came to watch n even e teacher! yeah, we rock! cannot tahan anymore so slept at 3.30...

woke up at 5.30 (used to tt time since i wake up every morning at tt time to go sch). shit, only 2 hrs n i hope i can stay awake thru e day. realised i hav v dark eye bags :( nvm, tink almost everybody got, thks to e palm of ru lai haha. had light (quite pathetic) exercise in e morning followed by breakfast. then off we go for amazing race. since teachers ar wif us, we cant pon n fo cineleisure to support e western dance liked we originally planned. nvm, my grp is wif sophy so we walked leisurely, enjoying ourselve unlioke other grps who ran all over e place. lose then lose la, who cares? my team was e only team tt didnt finish all e stations n e last to reach e end point. nvm, we enjoyed haha. nxt is dinner n some time to rehearse for our performance item (each gro gotto perform sth). my grp came up wif a skit abt wat happened in e guy's rm n girl's rm last nite. tried e kung fu hustle scene n playing bridge... tried to make it funny by letting william hav god-like cards (4ace,4king,4queen n 1jack) thks to me he got tt kind of cards then let e audience see haah.anw, i tink e skit was a failure, nvm, win lose not impt (e prize sucks anw, so cheapskate choc) e funniest grps is XL's grp follwed by kat's i tink. xl they all performed a star wars skit in hokkien wif tranlation, damn funny... darth vader even danced lyk e axe gang in kung fu hustle. due to popular demand they did an encore. kat's grp was a bit boring at e start but got v interesting ltr. got njc symbol (a fat guy who acted as a rock juz nw but became a stone... ok, trying to imply tt njc v stone), got njc swai ge although not v swai, got wat njc students lyk (this guy held up a mug n kissed n rubbed it, implying tt nj students lyk to mug).... ok, v funny haha. not to forget e two trees who ar constantly dancing in e air con of e sigma lab which ar given credit for a more beautiful environment n improving our eye sight.

everything ended around 9+ n reached home v late le. sleep lyk a pig zzzzz......... (v tired u noe)

NHSS culture potpourri VI

went 2 watch culture pot on sat. overall v nice la, best part is e xiang sheng. damn funny lo haha... e dances were not bad n e play well done; one actress got potential sia...

went to watch wif Jin n we were siting at row H 21 n 22 n teh neh was sitting juz in front of us... realised tt e guest-of-honour, principal, alumni ppl all sit juz behind us. omg! a bit stressful sia haha. (better than xl la who got to sit wif someone :p)

First up is CO, played 3 songs altogether: 星空,丰年祭and送我一朵玫瑰花. e music is gd, typical chinese song la. although don really noe how to appreciate but e tune is nice to listen :) notice e double base v loud, mayb tts y only got 2 in e whole orchestra ba. Also observed tt they sometimes pluck e strings when i tot thay alwaz pull them wif e dono wat... Saw song hao play tt so went to observe...

e emcees came on stage aft e first opening song n they were lyk robots!!! stay completely still when toking n both walked away lyk marching lidat, got sychronise de...

nxt is poetry recitation, 打与不打都是爱. e poetry is abt motherly love n abt a mother beating her child to correct her child. e 5 girls presented it wif v gd emotions... can sense e 感情in their words. wat amazed me is how they rmb all e words (v long u noe) n their coordination, start n stop talking at e same time. must be thru hard work n practice...

Following tt is a drama of journey to e west. not tt i bad la but i don tink e play is as well done :( nvm, gd effort.feel tt e items ar a bit funny (e.g. jin gu bang is v short for e monkey). also noticed one of e actresses did not hav uniform costume, tink one of them e costume spoil or sth. but accidentas do happen la. still muz commemorate on their effort cos this is e first time NHSS put up a chinese drama of this sort (looks lyk chinese opera when e ppl fight) hmmm, do i sound v fussy? :S

nw is e break. went toilet (correction: conjested toilet). looked for XL at e front row while Jin talked on e phone (whole day only noe how to tok tok n tok haha). realised XL was in a torment cos of his seat. nxt is a play abt a mother getting bankrupt to send her son frm china to s'pore for a better education. quite touching... sad story also sobs... n one of e actress can really act v well. can act until cry sia, but dono whetehr got tears or not.

last item is by e chinese dance society, bamboo forest. nice dance, at least i understand wat it is abt i tink... is abt wat ppl can do in a bamboo forest n wat it provides ba. come to tink of it, it looks quite similar to e newater one we watched in sec3... both got use some long poles n girls dancing. e ppl took of their outer clothing while e dance is gg on then everything seem to hav changed colour n tone unknowingly.

Then they hav a finale where all performers went on stage together n cheered. also threw sweets wif ribbons attached to e audience but didnt manage to get any haha (none of them fly in my direction u see...)

overall v nice, quite worth e money la considering e rental price for e UCC... gg to come back again to watch!

today monday holiday for all NJCians haha, thks 2 e college's birthday on sat! since this is a golden opportunity to crash other JCs (cos they sch but we don hahaha!), i decided to visit rjc. nv been there be4 unlike HC. also relatively easy too crash rj since i got pirated RJ uniform le (use NHSS pants n my bro's SAJC shirt). got a sch badge there n viola! i am RJCian haha.

reach there juz nice they all break so can c my frends. Jin, Clarissa, Alex, Shu Xian, Xin Ying and e air rifle guy forgot his name haha oops... 4got to meet kat's, whi came 2 crash wif me, ex-classmates cos rush off 2 lecture aft break le haha. e bio lect was v fast, haven finish reading e slides then go on le, wth. as gd as not having them la. luckily is on DNA replication which i noe le so still can ctach up a bit. nxt is chem lect n e teacher damn smart la, teach v fast also... wonder if all RJCians ar so smart or only some smart. anw, went 4 lect on sam topic today in njc n realised a lot of things they teach is actually not required! kiasu... visited e 3 floors library which is lyk "wow..." but e photocopy machine sucks cos kat cant seem 2 make it work. either is e machine lousy or she sucks la haha. went 2 photocopy shop dono how many times cos kat wan 2 buy photocopy card2print notes. siao lo, e notes so damn thick. i lazy 2 read e extra info...

also went 4 make up chem lect from 4-6. e chem lect was quite boring la, e lecturer keep toking for non-stop 2hrs! pro sia... i noe e topic liao so decided 2 write out my pts for my gp essay during e lect. towards e end i was lyk stone liao, air con so cold lyk polar region lidat. meet py's sister/brother at e lect also. noe each other cos we suffered same fate at NRP interview, beaten by 2 RGS girls. During e lect, e teacher scolded two girls in his class for talking. then he added "and one of you is not suppose to be here". went stone at tt sentence cos i tink he is talking abt me lo! i am e only one who is not suppose to be here i tink. so tts how i went so stone all e way during e lect. Dared not look up to him n keep looking down, pretned to be bz by writing down some notes for my gp essay. Some more got a long silence aft tt lo! so damn scary, feel lyk running out of e LT. Finally tahan until 6pm n left liao. v tired sia...

oh yah, special request by JIN that i should write something abt her haha. meet up wif jin when i rech rjc n she intro me 2 patronise e malay stall which doesnt taste v nice (or mayb i used to nj food standard le... nj food v nice lo!!). haha, but nvm la... i rubbish dump for any food. met some of her 2nd intake frends also v ar v frendly, quite unexpected actually cos i tot they will feel v strange wif a new guy around n i was afriad tt i may be v extra among them... oh yah, e freshly squeezed orange juice does not taste tt gd leh, e sour part is v nice la but somehow tink got sth missing or wat. nvm, $1 for fresh fruit juice v gd le. went 2 lect n sit beside jin who keep smsing yt ar... better listen!

been quite packed for e past week. got so stressed over oone blazor cos asked frm ppl then he didnt bring! was damn pissed la, hate ppl who breaks promises... then asked frm 2 frends n frm e general office. in the end, saboed my frend to bring e blazor unnecessarily cos i already got one. was v guilty abt tt so gg to treat him to a meal nxt time to apologise (besides, his blazor is too big for me liao, some misundertanding abt e size). then speech day over, finish e blazor stuff... then is STaR prog. my name was not on e list so gotta inform e teacher abt it. nvm, tt was easily done. nxt is getting e culture potpourri tickets. sms someone to hlp me get but didnt get any reply. dono whether i shld proceed to get it myself. In the end, went back to NHSS to get them (luckily monday half day) even got to choose e VIP seats haha. so got v gd seats. k, one moree thing settled. nxt is PI n bio test on wed. tuesday went back to pia bio test n cell division n enzymes. wanted to do PI but then no time cos of the test. The test was crap, tink i gg to do badly in it. so it is wed... stayed up till v late, 11+pm (v late for me) to do PI n cos i don hav microsoft office, got to bother my frend to hlp me paste on e prog before emailing to the teacher. Got a lot of probs lyk my frend cannot read e wordpad file i sent. But still managed to complete it. luckily thurs can wake up late. Seen e PW teachr abt my 2nd PI draft n he say OK. Finally, i get to have some rest.

yeah! gg back NHSS to see all my fellow 4/1rians. was waiting for quite long in sch for e sidegate to open then we went out n it started raining heavily. waited for dono how long cos e HC ppl take so damn bloody long to come out! n jin was at e wring bus stop so she had to take a bus to join us(njc ppl) at e poolside bustop opp nj haha. e rain keep splashing in n my pants ar v wet! ltr still got to wear it on stage sia.

finally, e hc ppl got ready n we took bus to clementi central. initially planned to eat there but since e rain subsided when we reach there, we decided to go bck to NHSS first to c our teachers, except for toilet gang n yt who went to central to eat. feel so gd to be back again. greeted by familiar places n faces; v glad to be back! went to queue for western food but they sold out almost everything, wth... wanted to come back eat lyk last time then they say then sold out liao. in e end had sandwich n a drink.went around e staff rm to visit teachers, saw mdm sia, mr pandian, mrs wong, mdm foo, ms wassan, ms ang n ms wong.

went to change arnd 3.30 n hav some prob wif e tie. spent dono how long last might to tie then nw too long liao, got to do again, sian... in e end fed up wif it so asked kegan to hlp me haha.hmmm, actually lyk e white shirt, v comfy to wear n i tink i look quite swai in it haha. k, i v thick skin. reported for attendance n looked for my seat, k4. then realised my junior class is siting behind me haha, asked to them to cheer when i go up n tt explains e screaming haha. went to shake tt goh's hand n he was talking wif me la... say wat "u v popular sia (cos my junior cherring ma)" then he keep shaking my hand didnt wan 2 let go. damn funny lo... took e letter n wuickly left liao, haah. then my frend say i look v weird on stage, keep smiling (got meh...). e prize presentation was followed by e top boy cum president of student council's speech. yay! kegan rocks!

went down to e koi pond n took even more photos :) e book voucher is v kiam la... get how many As or A1s also $30... NHSS v poor sia. nvm la, at least got kope some food frm during e refreshment haha. went out wif 4/1 ppl to pizza hut at central n they bought a cake for brenda's bd (happy bd! tania also!) then had some much fun making some gross+disgusting drink for ultimate code (zhong ji mi ma). edible food become inedible liao haha. kana once n had a mouthful of tt concoction, almost vomitted is, lucky got coke to wash it down. then shi ling kana twice rite? haha n kegan n xl got special treatment for drinking tt. brave xl finished e whole glass haha, power sia.

went home aft tt when it was 10+pm le. feel so she bu de to leave again. hard chance for a reunion but gd things will come to an end. lets hav more class outings nxt time!

been damn bz this wk. thks to kat who went to lok for e teacher abt STaR n for hlping me wif e appeal letter, i manage to get a place in STaR :) although is not IMCB or IBN (e institutes i wan), it is better than nth (btw, got NTU-MAE). feel better le, at least not tt bad aft all. n nw, e 2 teachers in e STaR programme thing know me liao. (fangyou ar, orh.. is tt guy who appealed rite?) haha, left an impression in them.

math test on thur, still ok ba. thks 2 FM super strong dosage in e 1st 3 months, i shld be able to make it for e test.

guitar got gld in SYF! their first gold in many yrs... (muz be because i joined haha)

quit e solar innovations competition cos e grp can only hav 4 members. (who tell me to be e last person to join. nvm la, nw got STaR, prefer to spend more time in it)

cant go back to ODAC cos they close registration n a lot ppl signed up. heard they gg 2 kick out ppl le, how can i join nw? nvm, stuck wif guitar n SnT. shld i join math society or go back astro? haha, but not v gd leh, leave then go back.

initially gg for some CIP thing on sat but~ due to some unforeseen circumstances, i did not do any flag day thing. so? slacked e whole day lo haha.

sigh, my JC life is so screwed up. didnt went for sir rifle/pistol trial so no chance to get into tt CCA. failed e NRP interview miserably. joined guitar but realise i don hav a guitar to practise at home (as good as not learning). joined SnT also, tinking it will give me fun experiences in research n stuff, only to realise it is a v boring CCA. initially wanted to try out basketball (i lyk bball anyway) but thought e better of it given my cannot-make-it skills. quit bridge club n i tink it is a gd decision; lyk no future in tt CCA n i am not exactly v crazy abt bridge. didnt go for OAC meeting le, n regretted it cos i found my self enjoying it! is v fun to me actually, hope i can go back (gg back meeting this wed) left my FM class n actually miss e class; also miss e super fast FM lectures which sort of gave me some motivation to work hard. took up bio n nw i already disliked 2 bio teachers, how to do well? decided to stay in NJC, which is a rather lucky decision. one of e reasons for my stay is e STaR programme. n nw, i screwed up e interview again, failing to get into any of e institutes. feel damn sad. juz realised i did not really integrate into my class as i have expected, ppl talking abt things which i hav no clue abt n feel so left out sometimes. luckily i already know some of e ppl in e class, all my sec sch classmates. wanted to run for council at first but was afraid i cant stay in njc aft O lvl results are released. so? i managed to stay n didnt run for council, or even at least tried. reason- was afraid i can get in then waste my time n didnt want to spend $4 to buy e form. wth!? so my portfolio is bloody screwed, wat to do? signed up for some cmompetitions frm SnT (come to tink of it, quite luck tt i am there) n of cos will do my best to get something out of it.

feel damn sad about STaR programme thing. really wanted to participate in research. thks kat for cheering me up n for telling me not to give uo hope juz yet. :) will get over this thing somehow... if things have to be lyk this. wish all those who got attached to research institutes gd luck wif their research!

went to sentosa for 05S06 outing. suppose to meet at harbour front mrt at 12pm, so i reach there around 11.30 cos wan to hav lunch first. came back frm lunch, 11.50, still nobody around. waited a while, 12pm-still nobody. was damn fed up! how can everyone be late? i am sure i didnt go to e wrong location... preparing to leave at 12+ when i saw hiang tat. so decided to stay a while first. in e end, mr neo, e scholars n some new ppl came. outing still on but quite pathetic, so few ppl turned up! watever, went to noodle hse at harbour front centre for 2nd round of lunch (me neo treat so y not? haha) in e middle of lunch a new girl in S06 arrived n brought her 7 yr old brother along haha, quite cute la. his bd somemore so sang bd song in e restaurant. he n mrneo are damn funny la, took a lot of pictures together. esp. e one mr neo sat on e children's playing machine or watever u call tt (e one u insert coins n let e child play tt one). their smile turn out to be so identical! both is a straight line n paralle some more haha... proceeded to harbour front bus interchange to take bus into sentosa n went straight to siloso beach. had a lot of fun wif tt cute kid. he got a super soaker frm dono where n chased us (esp. me n e new guy whose name i forgotten :p) all around e place wif it haha. his bd mah, so make him happy lo. played soccer, frisbee, volleyball n everyone got thrown into e super salty sea water. yi fan n zhong lu~ stead liao still deny so much haha... wat hold hands n disappear for most of e time... class outing leh, not date for e two of u la! haha, in sch also stick to each other. we left at around 6+, i left wif HT slightly earlier.

outings to sentosa... bring back a lot of memories wif 40104. we went there quite a lot of times for class outing-sec3 go be4, sec4 also go be4, miss wong's wedding.... tt place seem to keep e memories i had together wif 4/1. it chained a series of thoughts in me. all e times i had in 3/1,4/1. really missed those days but i miss my friends more!

had 2.4km run for naphfa today. although nose still a bit blocked i still go n run (heck care e results le). don feel lyk getting gold anyway haha... in e end, my timing is 11.48min... tink i gotten worse le. fastest guy also 11min lidat.

five stations on thurs... dono whether i will be in gd form to take e test. stupid flu/cold last till nw, was panting until so cham when running lo. pull up got so lousy liao... sbj juz scrape gold last yr. ha, nvm la, silver can le :) who tell them to give us only 1 week's notice.

today's physics lesson was a blur. lazy to do tutorial at home (feel v guilty) then teacher talk abt e qns i was lyk- huh? cant rmb e formulas for kinematics. bloody screwed up for physics and i am using my time to write this entry instead of doing phy tutorial!

btw, also got invited for the taiwan immersion programme. most likely not joing la cos is quite ex, nd 2 pay for air tickets n play host to e taiwan person (only interested in gg taiwan to play :p)

realised tt hmwk load getting heavier le (esp phy, few tutorials behind). bio also a lot to do... juz try la, i usually set aside sat to relax one.quite happy for my new class for the time being. mix quite ok wif e guys, but most probably is cos i noe most of them le (had our own orientation haha). also a lot of sec sch class n sch mates in e same class: juliet, shi ling, samuel, yu tian, michelle lym. plus me n tt makes 6 nan hua ppl le haha. somwhow a bit miss my former 05S06 class. no mr neo e lessons become quite boring le haha (Neo rocks!) n quite coincidentally mr simon tan n mr low (chem) still teaching me. liked ms wan's GP class (although GP is boring) but nw GP techer change le.

another day wif my nose leaking, but better than past few days le. normal day, lessons in sch. got our project work test papr today n was so sian abt it. y muz do PW??!! tt time in ec2 e whole class do except for those in Innovative Programme (sam n CH) n OM ppl (includes me :)). then was slacking at one corner while others hav 2 do, so shiok haha. but nw, equal rights! all muz do :( sian...looked forward to this aftnoon's guitar trng. martin n sam came along wif me n learned some basics, lyk wat notes n how 2 strum some of them. seniors teaching "accidentally in love" (mass dance song) n being a music idiot, i cant follow. cant change e notes fast enuf n no clip so strum till fingers pain. my fingers too inflexible liao haha, nd more practise i guess. asking us 2 buy a guitar @ $150... still tinking abt it cos is quite ex lo. didnt ask if can use edusave. then martin tell me got some place sell cheaper guitar, $40 lidat but lower quality (don expect much la)... hmmmmmmm..... dono if shld buy.

crap, was sick since sunday. tink ate sth wrong on sat(sth expired i tink) then get throat infection. nxt is cold n fever on sunday nite (n i was playing mahjong till so song). took some medicine n went 2 slp. mon morning was so tired n not feeling well. mum felt my tempt n said not v hot so still went to sch. e fever set in slightly later in e morning so took panadol n hope e fever will go away aft some time. it didnt. i was so tired n not feeling well almost e whole day (didnt bother to take excuse slip cos gotts c doc n i don really lyk my ct :p, although my impression of her is getting slightly better). so tahan e whole day. as if heaven is making fun of me, w weather turned so cold wif rain n wind... was -practically freezing lo. e worse is when i in LT5 for phy lecture... tell u i almost "tok" ar... so hungry so more. luckily lunch is aft e lect so rushed to fill my stomach wif rice... e weather didnt turn any better, still so cold. went 2 buy 2 glass of hot milo from e dessert stall n e warmth is almost holy! feel so gd aft drinking e milo. also noticed many ppl ar buying hot drinks frm tt stall lo (auntie got a lot of business sia.. but v few buy cold dessert la). sat in e canteen wif classmates, each bought a glass of hot drink n we were lyk a grp of lao ah peks at a coffeshop drinking coffee lo haha. too bad don hav TV n S league to watch. nxt e double GP n e teacher is super sian... didnt teach much lo n she is J3 student gg to uni... hope GP teacher will change or i hav 2 say gd luck to my GP le. finally, PE. e most diff period to pass for a sick person lyk me. very luckily today only take height n weight so no nd 2 exercise (i will die if i exercise). a bad news came during PE lesson. NAFPHA test nxt wk! wth... tell us only so late lo, haven train up yet. 2.4 on tues n stations on thurs... surely be v off form when i take e test de... pull up frm 9 drop to 4 liao, tts how much my physical dropped. nvm la, try to pia for this wk... aiming for silver (don wan gold ltr NS v cham haha)... but c how la, mayb got motivation to get gold :)

today njc hav a dance party. its sth lyk a disco la, ppl go in there n jump lyk mad haha. had a gd time listening to e music n "dancing" although i suck at it... yup, with my pizza gang also haha. go round koping pizza frm every1 we happen to noe. n since we hav XL e lamer wif us, we didnt really danced a lot. spend most of e time hanging around in e parade sq but it is still v fun. lyk e "smoke grenade"-they got this machine tt create mist at intervals n will run into e smoke n jump out holding imaginary rifle (is lyk playing CS). seem v stupid la but is v funny haha.

really glad to see some old friends come from other JCs to join e dance party. Jin, Yan Chen, Yan Ting, Yuan Xi, Zhi min... and some other familiar faces.

knew my CT class posting today. quite expected, i landed up in samuel's class. dono is gd luck or bad la... but at least i knew a lot of ppl in tt class already. bad part is, it is solaris hse (n i dont really lyk this hse but guess i am here to stay :s). Another point, my CT happen to be our bio teacher! sharks... heard she is v v v strict. hope i wont be sian diao by her. nearly lose interest in bio cos of e teachers, all so strict, no sense of humour lidat. but today's lecture suddenly turn out to be better (my CT e lecturer), dono y but i got a completely different impression. (at least got joke a bit...)

mon: ponned e orientation ystd again cos still random OG. stayed in sch n slp in TC12, my former CT class (v ulu 1 so nobody discovered me haha). aft settling e uniform thing (PE attire out of stock), tried to exit but tt security guard at main gate don let me out.

tues: lessons start liao. all lectures today n some more at LT5. almost went frozen solid inside but lucky got breaks (n i ate cold dessert some more!) went for math make up lecture for fun , revise my math also n realise how much i hav forgotten :p slack too much le... nw got to catch up again but not tt bad i guess.

read other ppl's blog n realised how sad some of them were aft leaving nj. was complaining to e 4/2 guys who pon wif me how i regretted chosing nj ystd but nw i felt so lucky to do tt. at least i hav friends n companions here wif me, wont feel so lost. nw i shld treasure my stay in nj.

to those not in njc again: u may tink u hav regretted gg to other places but do accept e path u ar gg to walk. it is only e begining when u might not lyk tt place but i believe u will fit nicely into n like tt place where u ar. everything takes time; merging into a new envirnment is liddat one. don give up n keep tinking y u made tt choice in the past... yesterday is over and u cant do anything to change what has been done. more importantly, u shld look forward n tink of how u ar gg to like tt place n e ppl there. all the best to all of u! i will be behind u! (don nd turn around to see haha) cheer up!

today day of 2nd intake orientation. glad 2 hav XL around :) damn fun wif him arnd haha, some more gd excuse to slack cos i pei him sit in canteen, yeah!skipped e orientation since e mass dance session cos don feel lyk dancing. so sit in canteen for dono how long... tried to leave sch but gana stopped by a teacher then sian diao, stayed in njc till everything ended. but not bad la, went 2 gym to play captain's ball aft YC came frm HC n say a lot ppl there playing (she also complaint HC v boring haha). nxt is go track hear ppl talk talk (debrief) n go home le. zzz...

to all those who go other JCs:
hope u all enjoyed ur sch's orienatation. some may find tt place sucks but it takes time to adjust n interact wif e ppl there esp when e 1st intakers tend to stick to themselves. give each other some time n i am v sure u can merge in 1! jia you! missed those not in NJC!

last day in 05S06

hey guys, been around wif u all for 3 months le (ok,2 and a half lidat ba...) but in e end hav 2 leave cos gg triple science. don worry, will still be in NJC so can still c me around :) going to be a bit frank la but actually i don really lyk e class at 1st, tink this class is so boring. As days go by can see tt e class is getting more fun, esp e lessons wif ah NEO (yeah! ah neo rocks!!!). anyway, nice knowing all of u guys; thks for ur support when i keep asking u all to pay up :p (hey, pay class fund $5!!!). Although alwaz got a lot ppl don wan pay, i still managed to get them to fork out $$$ (nxt time can be ah long liao). yups, had a nice time in 05S06; laughed a lot during lesson although e jokes sometimes (shld be often) VERY lame -_-

aft today, the 05S06 will be no more le, ppl leaving sch or changing combi etc... BUT all of us will alwaz rmb e 05S06 we spent 3 months in rite? pls don forget hor! n dont lose each other's contact! mayb we wil meet again in life :)

came back frm e chalet v reluctantly... cant bear to be sepaerated frm e rest of e class. although 2yrs don seem a lot compared to a person's life span, it holds my deepest memories. all e times spent wif my dear frends :) will miss u all lyk crazy!

haiz, but we still hav to go our seperate ways eventually. aft e holidays, some will be gg other JCs. v sad to see them leave. muz stay in touch k!

when on e mrt train today, i almost cried. looking at e ppl around, i wonder what will become of us in 10,20 yrs time n when will we meet again (esp those leaving or not coming to join e large 4/1 gang in NJ). some times i hope e moments together can last forever, but tt is impossible. looking back, i tot of e sad n happy times i had in NHSS n in 4/1. realised i learned a lot frm these experiences (other than those in e txbk i mean). had my ups n downs in life in these yrs n most importantly, i made really gd frends. w/o them, i will not be wat i am today (probably end up lyk a study freak wif no life i guess)

when e train finally reached tiong bahru station, i didnt wan 2 alight. hope 2 spend some more time wif u all but still went off anyway. be4 stepping out of e train, i said "i will miss u guys a lot"... n i mean it.

to all my 4/1 frends: thks for being part of my life. i will alwaz rmb u guys! stay in touch ok! got any problems or wat can come find me. nth to do also can find me k, i v free one :)

haha, didnt make it into e NRP research but who cares :) alwaz look on e bright side of life! at least i wont nd 2 spend so much time on e research thingy. look forward to class chalet tml!

my NRP interview

hwent for e nanyang research programme interview ystd. they suppose to select 2 students out of 4 to carry out a research project. there were 2 other RGS twins n chunhong who were called up for interview (including me of cos...) went 2 NIE n e meeting was scheduled to start at 2.30pm. waited 4 quite long cos e same panel of interviewers nd 2 interview 3 more ppl frm another project 1st.

when my turn came, i juz walk into this dono wat lab n greeted e 3 ppl at e table. e feeling was not as nervous as i expected... they asked some qns lyk how often can u come, why choose this project, what u noe abt this project etc etc. n my interview was lyk so damn short lo, less than 10min i tink when others can stay inside 4 nearly 20min! haha, watever la, no use brooding abt it aft e wholething. c if i get selected or not lo :)

this is a rather gd experience for me... there will be more interviews ltr in life n this is 1 of e first to prepare me for more interviews. at least noe mayb what they will ask n remain calm blah blah blah... yah, gd experience i would say.

so fast, e 1st term almost ending already n i haben post something for lyk more than a month? haha, looks so deserted but don tink anybody visits my blog anyway. but nevertheless, i shld post sth here nw... don make it look so dead.

march holidays approaching le (yeah!) n is looking forward to the 4/1 chalet. mahjiong!!! made my decision to stay in NJC and swtich to triple science combi; will hav to spend the math lessons pia-ing for bio liao, scared cant catch up. wont deny tt fmath is fun! :) esp at tt super rocket speed tt mathC is taught... was surprised tt i can understand haha (although was behind in tutorial)

v sad tt some ppl will hav to leave NJC aft the 1st three months... a lot go HCI lo. although distance not v far but will slowly become distant. hope we can stay in contact cos 40104 forever!!!

some ppl leave but some ppl will come too! try to look on e bright side... hope to see 1 big nan hua gang in e canten every morning haha, tt will be our territory!! yup, nice to be wif old frends (not age) at least for some time everyday, wont become so distant i hope. but sadly, there seem to be lesser ppl at e "morning gathering" compared to e begining. too bad la, they wan to be wif JC frends too... so wont blame any1 or wat. for me, my morning time is reserved for NHSS 40104. come so early every morning cos hope to see all of them there, whether they mugging (NJC style!) or slping or daydreaming or smssing or toking on hp or go toilet or do watever la!; i tink at least spending some time with each other can help "renew" (cant tink of suitable word here, sorry mdm sia, limited vocab) past friendship.
